We had a huge play test a couple of weeks ago which proved very useful.  We got loads of feedback from people who play lots of music games and some from people who don’t play them.  It is very interesting to see the different types of feedback given from the two groups of gamers.  One of the main things which were given from both groups where the symbols, which have already been re-designed and will be posted soon.

Thanks to everybody giving us support.  We will keep you posted

IPhone Dev

The team have been thinking about iphone dev for a long while now.

We have had loads of ideas flying around the team, but two games that stuck in all our minds.  After long hours of coding to prototype these games we now have two games in a playable state where we feel its plays well.

The first title is called Manic Panic which is a collectiong of mini games with and a wild card.  This can be used at anytime which could help the player progress or make the user fail sooner.  These mini games are quick and simple play which makes it really fun for all.

The other game is called SlipDisc, which reminds us of a pinball machine (think Pachinko) .  This game is very unique and super addictive.  So much so the artist just sat there watching the game play on its own for about 10 minutes.  Which is always a good sign.

So to all the PreAnimals (our fans) stay tuned, more will be revealed.

The songs are getting the final look over, which is being done by our new friend the manatee the sea-cow.  He or She (we are unsure of its gender) sits at the back of the office guarding the cakes.  The Manatee seems to think the note placement were off in certain places, so this is being looked at as we speak.

wOOt crazy, while we sleep Manatee is hard at work……. What an animal.

The Announcer Says…..

In all the best games there is a random voice (the announcer) saying things to make you feel special, so we did just that. Not only does the announcer let you know how well you are doing by screaming random words such as; “You’re too cool” or “Amazing!”, but he also puts you down when the going gets tuff, just to add insult to injury.

Here are a few words you may hear when playing Perplex Beats, call him our local cheerleader.

  • You’re too cool.
  • Amazing.
  • It doesn’t look good.
  • Outstanding.
  • Keep it up.
  • You got it.

We cannot tell you them all; otherwise we will spoil the surprise.
